Legacy Speech Debate Club

As a relatively new Stoa Speech and Debate club based in, Pennsylvania—right in the heart of Lancaster County—we’re excited to be entering our 3rd year. As proud members of the Stoa League, we serve privately home-educated students from across the nation.

Club Verse

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, Rooted and built up in Him and established in the Faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with Thanksgiving.

Colossians 2:6-7

Our Mission

To come together as a community of homeschoolers to become  “Rooted and built up in Christ” and “established in our Faith”, so that we can be confident as we “Speak Boldly for Christ” and to use our voices to make an impact in the lives of those we encounter on a daily basis.

We will come together through coaching, practice, community building, and tournaments where skills can be further honed and cultivated.

Our Vision

Our local club was birthed from the legacy of Dakota Miller, a 17-year-old friend, who competed in Stoa passionately with his Colorado club for 4 years, until he entered into eternal rest in October 2023. The Miller family would now like to share their son’s passion, here in our Lancaster community, so that his memory will live on and our community of homeschoolers can experience the enormous benefits of Stoa that Dakota Miller did.

As we embark on this journey to carry that Legacy forward, by establishing our “Roots” firmly in Christ, we anticipate leaving a “Legacy” for generations to come.
